Pre-Commencement Celebration

 Saturday, June 14 at 10:00AM

Timberlake Church, Redmond, WA

The Pre-Commencement Celebration, formerly known as Convocation and sponsored by EHS PTSA, brings the graduating class together to reflect on their personal growth and hard work. Students and their families are invited to attend this non-religious program that includes student and staff speakers, videos, musical performances, and the beloved senior slideshow. Senior Slideshow

It is a long-standing tradition at Eastlake to have a senior slideshow at the Pre-Commencement Celebration. Each senior is featured on a slide showing an old photo (baby, toddler, or first day of school) alongside a current senior photo. We love to see just how far our students have come.

You may submit photos NOW! The deadline is May 31st.

Here's what to do:
  1. Choose one young photo and one current photo of your senior. Accepted formats are JPG and PNG, and please make sure the resolution/size will work for a slide-size display. 
  2. The two photos must only include your student, no other people.
  3. When prompted to enter a name, please enter YOUR STUDENT NAME
  4. When prompted to enter an email, please enter YOUR EMAIL

Privacy Notice: the slideshow video will be displayed on screens at the pre-commencement celebration. By submitting photos, you agree that the photos will be used in the slideshow. The slideshow video will be available to students in the Eastlake Class of 2025 and their families by request only.

 

Grad Walks

Most Grad Walks will take place on Monday, June 16. More details coming soon!

(Participating schools will reach out directly to their former students.)

Grad walks are held at participating elementary or middle schools. Seniors are invited to visit their old school and go back to where it all began. Teachers welcome them back and the younger students cheer them on as they parade through the school in their caps and gowns. It is a fun tradition that kicks off the start of graduation festivities. 


Graduation Yard Signs

Yard signs are available NOW from Mail-Post in Sammamish.

(Mail-Post is located near MOD Pizza in the Safeway shopping center by EHS.)

 

Senior Breakfast

Senior Breakfast, sponsored by the EHS PTSA, is served at school just before graduation rehearsal in June. This is a seniors-only event. 

 

Grad Night

Grad Night is Eastlake's traditional senior send-off event on the night of graduation. This all-night celebration for the senior class is sponsored and organized by the Eastlake High School PTSA. Graduates board buses and visit two private event venues in the Seattle area for a night of fun entertainment and activities. It is the perfect way to provide a safe and secure environment for one last get-together with classmates. It is a great night out for the senior class!
