Immediate need! Can you help? Convocation Co-Chair
Convocation is a treasured tradition at Eastlake that does not happen without a team of volunteers. To have a convocation for the class of 2024, we need one Eastlake parent to step up & work with this year's chair to learn the role & help lead the efforts for next year's 2024 convocation.
The Eastlake PTSA Senior Convocation Chair serves as the liaison between the Convocation student performers, staff speaker, event venue representative, and event music director.
The Chair also works with the Eastlake Senior Class Advisors to coordinate auditions for student speakers and performers, and reserves space at the school for the event music director to rehearse with student performers and speakers.
Other responsibilities include overseeing the reservation of the event venue for tech rehearsal and the actual event, speaking to Eastlake performing arts classes and cultural clubs about participating in Convocation, production of an electronic save-the-date card, any necessary marketing materials, and ceremony program, finding volunteers to help with stage management at tech rehearsal and the actual event, and finding a volunteer to coordinate and serve refreshments for guests the day of the event.
Work begins in January (venue reservations needing to be completed in September) and is busiest March-graduation. Please say yes to this important role by emailing leta@ehsptsa.org
