The Sammamish Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is taking registrations for certification classes that teach about community emergencies, including disaster preparedness, fire safety, and light search-and-rescue. The Sammamish CERT program begins in March and runs for 8 weeks at Sammamish Fire Station 82. Classes are 2½ hours each Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm for a total of 20 hours. Teachers can apply for 20 clock hours, and students can receive 20 community service hours. Classes missed can be made up for complete credit. Click here for more information and to register.
